REGISTERED NURSE - PLASTIC SURGERY

The One Clinic Agency is proud to partner with Dr Tavakoli, in the search for an experienced Registered Nurse to join his high-performing clinical team in Double Bay.

Dr Tavakoli’s clinic is recognised for its premium patient experience, surgical excellence, and boutique environment. Working within a small, professional, all-female team, you’ll support patients throughout their surgical journey while ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently each day. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced private practice setting and genuinely enjoys working within the cosmetic and plastic surgery industry.

The Role

We are seeking a nurse with excellent clinical judgement, strong surgical and wound management background, and exceptional organisational skills. You will work closely with Dr Tavakoli, acting as the key clinical support when he is consulting. This includes pre- and post-operative patient care, wound and dressing management, clinical assisting, and a significant amount of administrative coordination.

This position suits someone who loves patient care, clinical organisation, and the surgical side of cosmetic medicine.

There is no opportunity for cosmetic injecting in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties

  • Perform wound care including VAC dressings, general dressings, drain removal, and suture management

  • Assist in minor in-room procedures (e.g. scar revision, suture removal)

  • Conduct pre-op assessments, chase investigations and pathology, and prepare patients for surgery

  • Complete post-operative patient reviews and follow-up care

  • Set up and maintain procedure rooms and uphold strict infection control

Administrative Duties 

  • Support the doctor with consult notes, clinical correspondence, and care coordination

  • Follow up results, pathology, and imaging

  • Manage patient flow and ensure seamless communication throughout the patient journey

  • Assist with pre- and post-op education, documentation, and scheduling

Team & Practice Support

  • Work collaboratively with a small, supportive team

  • Present professionally and contribute positively to clinic culture

  • Maintain a calm and organised approach in a high-volume environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (Current AHPRA registration required)

  • 4–5+ years nursing experience in plastics, surgical wards, oncology, or similar hospital-based specialties

  • Strong wound care experience (VAC, general dressings and wound management, drains) 

  • Experience in both hospital and private practice is ideal

  • Full-time availability

  • Comfortable managing a large and varied workload
